We're planning for BIG things!
We believe that God has given us an extremely important task - to reach people for generations to come. There are some opportunities in front of us that will both help us reach more people and help us be more effective. We've begun exploring some big possibilities, and want you to join the conversation about "What's Next?". Read the "What's Next Essentials" below, and come back here for updates.
What's Next Essentials
We believe it’s our job to “Lead all people to follow Jesus.” God’s call is undeniable: reach people - ALL people. As a church, we’re excited to explore the new God-given opportunities to reach more people than ever before. And First Euless’ distinctive qualities uniquely position us to reach them. With that purpose in mind, we’re looking ahead to what’s next for our church.
Driven by the call to reach people, we were led to explore two new opportunities: a satellite campus and a renovation of our current campus. A Long-Range Vision Team of members and staff were charged with researching these options, and they found both to be feasible. Their conclusion: “doing nothing” is not an option.
To further the efforts, three new teams were started. The Growth Team was formed to help clarify the church’s long-term vision and oversee the Euless Campus and Satellite Campus sub-teams. These teams will focus on determining the scope, budget, and timeline for their respective projects. Each of the teams is comprised of both members and staff.
We are focused on two locations.
Our current campus sits in the heart of DFW and is surrounded by fast-paced growth. New homes are under construction, new retail stores are moving in, and buildings around us are being refreshed. God has blessed our facilities over the years, but they have aged significantly. A renovation would prepare our facilities to reach people for years to come and make them much more family-friendly.
Northwest Tarrant County:
One of the fastest growing areas in America is about 30 minutes from our door. Within the Northwest ISD, 1,300 new homes are added each year, and the growth shows no sign of stopping. We already have members who live in that area who drive to Euless on Sundays, and it’s an incredible opportunity to expand First Euless’ strong biblical influence into an area that needs to be reached with the gospel.
Planning begins now. During the planning phase, our teams will do further research, detail the scope, make a budget, and propose a timeline for execution. The execution phase will follow. As the teams collaborate, they will provide periodic updates on progress. We feel a sense of urgency to reach people with the gospel, but we’ll proceed as fast as is prudently possible while allowing God to direct each step.
All of us! Even in a season of planning, we have a role—PRAY! Pray for these teams, pray for wisdom, and pray that God continues to bless His church and prepares it to reach more people than ever before.
